Master Sue Langdon, Owner and Chief Instructor

When my daughter was 5 years old, I wanted her to learn some self defense skills in case she needed them when she was older. We started taekwondo together and trained, along with  my son, for 5 years and all earned our black belts. Our martial arts journey was a great family adventure. It allowed us to share time together in a positive environment where we became stronger, healthier, and learned important self defense skills.

Along the way I discovered that I enjoyed sparring and was good at it; I've won seven national sparring championships. I've also studied self defense, Tai Chi, Krav Maga, and Escrima and have trained with and been part of the ATA, ITC, AAU, USAT, and UWTA. I am now a 7th degree master in the Moo Do Taekwondo organization (www.mdtkd.org).

Early in my martial arts career I realized that I wanted to share these skills with other families, too. I trained for three years to certify as an instructor, and I opened Lone Mountain Taekwondo on Halloween Day in 1994.

Since then we have trained thousands of students in traditional taekwondo. I am deeply committed to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to train in martial arts, which is why I started a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, SuperKids Karate, Inc.  that helps fund martial arts programs at-risk youth and those with financial challenges. for My goal is to help every person reach their highest potential and become better than they were the day before and to encourage appreciation of the many diverse personalities in our world.

Recently, he has returned to the studio, motivated by his 12-year-old son's interest in learning the skills he observed his father practicing at home.

Mr. Leavitt holds a Master's Degree and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He has been in private practice for 10 years, specializing in working with adolescents, couples, anxiety, parenting, trauma, and addictions.
